This book represents a synthesis of the Perennial Philosophy and most major schools of psychology. It introduces a new paradigm of person, "hierarchy of needs", and an explanation of human motivation and behaviour: physical, emotional, sociological and spiritual. This synthesis implies a new "love/belief therapy", distinct from but consistent with all the principles of client-centred, rational-emotive, cognitive-behavioural and psychosynthesis therapies, as well as the principles of christianity derived from a fresh critical exegesis of the Four Gospels.
